Who I am? Hey Babe, I’m Shawnda!
I’m a woman who has struggled since middle school with their body image. I have been through a rollercoaster of emotions with self doubt and self destruction off and on for years. So, I know personally how hard it is to let go of all those fears and just love yourself in the skin you are in right now. I am here to tell you, your size does not determine your worth. One of the bravest and most powerful things you can do is recognize where you are in life and own it! You deserve to love every inch of yourself!! It is time to finally give yourself the love you so deserve and change your mindset!!!
As a boudoir photographer, my passion is to create a space where women can reconnect with their bodies and embrace their true selves!! I believe in the power of boudoir and personal healing, where the body leads the way in releasing old wounds and stepping into a renewed sense of confidence!! My passion is to help you not only see your beautiful, gorgeous, and sensual self but to feel it on a deeper level…beyond the surface!! Through every session, I guide you on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment, allowing you to heal, grow, and embrace the fullness of who you are right now!!
A few random fun facts about me… I fall in love with every dog I see, run on iced coffee and Diet Coke, enjoy kayaking and riding sxs, and my favorite time of year is fall. I am a wife and mom, have 4 dogs and 1 cat.
I am a multi published boudoir photographer and my studio is located on Hale Street in Charleston, WV.
After college, I spent four years working in the criminal justice field. I always knew that I loved helping people but I also knew I needed to feed my soul and create beautiful things. Photography just spoke to me. Soon after leaving my job and starting photography full time, I knew for a fact boudoir was what lit my soul on fire! I could not think of doing anything else. Looking back though, I see so many times the universe was telling me that a boudoir photographer was exactly what I needed to be! Always follow your heart babe’s!! There is nothing more I love than to empower you and help you feel confident in the skin you are in!!
